Odin Borgen (1977) works within the classical figurative tradition, with the main emphasis on oil paintings. Themes for many of his motifs extend towards turning points, self-reflection, interpersonal relationships and stopping points in life where time is overtaken by reflection.
Design and expression are rooted in the realistic tradition with an emphasis on old techniques and implementation processes. He acquired much of his knowledge during his apprenticeship with Odd Nerdrum, as well as self-study of the old masters.
