About Pinakoteket
The Pinakoteket is an online gallery that highlights classic painters, draftsmen and graphic artists.
The works purchased at Pinakoteket are purchased directly from the craftsman. This means that Pinakoteket acts as a link between customer and seller.
Pinakoteket offers a unique opportunity for anyone who wants a beautiful picture on their wall by bringing together talented craftsmen in one place. This makes it easier to discover the works of both established and unknown, overlooked gems.
The Pinakoteket respects the work behind a classic work and has therefore made an active choice to take as small a percentage as possible in commission for the dissemination of painters' and illustrators' works.
It is not unusual for a gallery to take 50 to 60 percent (!) in commission. Pinakoteket only takes 10 percent, which is necessary to cover expenses.
The Pinakothek's customers thus help support the work of classical painters and draftsmen, and are an indirect supporter of the classical movement.
