We aim to promote classical figurative painters and draftsmen by promoting their works.
Pinakoteket respects the work behind a classic figurative work and has therefore made an active choice to take as small a percentage as possible in commission for the dissemination of the works of painters and draftsmen.
While it is not unusual for a gallery to take 50 to 60 percent (!) in commission, the Pinakoteket only takes 10 percent, which is necessary to cover expenses.
Pinakoteket's customers thus contribute to supporting the work of classical figurative painters and draftsmen, and are an indirect supporter of the classical movement that Sivilisasjonen represents in Norwegian intellectual life.
