Tony

(b. 1999) was raised on a small farm in Telemark. When he was 19 years old, he started painting with oils and quickly developed a deep passion for the classic craft. He spent two years as an apprentice with the painter Elisabeth de Lunde and is inspired by painters such as Rembrandt, Caravaggio, Lars Hertervig, Odd Nerdrum and Erik Werenskiold. With a restrained palette, he delves into the material through portraits, landscapes and still lifes, devoid of superfluous content.
