Sebastian Salvo is a classical painter who uses myths and archetypal stories in his work. He studied with Odd Nerdrum in 2015, and has often returned to work with his master.
His level of technique, handling of composition and ability to depict vivid stories on canvas have led some to regard him as one of the greatest living painters.
Salvo is one of the founders of the Memorosa group, an order of craftsmen who follow strict dogmas in their work, based mainly on Greek and Renaissance principles.
A study of great interest to Salvo has been the fierce competition among craftsmen in 15th-century Europe, and how to reintroduce this spirit among today's painters.
