Dying Flames

Eva Wientjes (b. 1994) is a Dutch painter working in the classical tradition. In 2020 she completed a bachelor's and master's degree in art history at the University of Groningen, before moving to Gothenburg to study at the Florence Academy of Sweden. There she was trained in 19th-century academic painting techniques and after graduation she became an instructor at the academy.

In the winter of 2023, she was a student of Odd Nerdrum and painted alongside him for two months. Currently, Wientjes lives and works in her home country, the Netherlands.
