Description

The painting was included in the Memorosa Group's May 17th exhibition at Elisabeth Werp on Ormøen, the summer exhibition "Nerdrumklanen" in the Grandkvartalet in Larvik, July 15th - August 23rd, and the group exhibition "Forvandlinger" at Fredriksborg in Oslo, October 17th - 19th, 2025.

Cassander André Straumsgaard

Cassander André Straumsgaard works in the classical painting tradition and was early interested in Odd Nerdrum, Caravaggio and Eugène Carrière, which led him to apply for a traditional classical figurative education at the Florence Academy of Art in 2008. After completing his studies in Gothenburg, Straumsgaard began at Nerdrum School in 2012 with a desire to learn more from his role model Odd Nerdrum.
